My Body is a Ship, but I am not a Sailor (2025)

steel, latex, dye, wire, resin, light, glue, rust

Ongoing sculptural work exploring the effects of chronic pain upon the body, through comparison to that of a different vessel. The lack of control over one’s body similar to that of a ship during a storm. This piece aims to express a primal resilience through the feeling of being betrayed by your own body.
